Some Big Trips I’ve Been On

(with a focus on biking)

Exploring South America

7 weeks of travel (by bus and flight) in Peru, Chile and Argentina. January-March 2026. Not a bike tour, but I do hope to bike tour in South America sometime soon :).

A person with tattoos, wearing glasses, a sleeveless top, and maroon pants is tending to a fire under a makeshift outdoor cooking setup. The fire is burning on the ground surrounded by rocks and is heating a large black pot placed on a wooden platform. Smoke is rising from the fire, and the scene is set outdoors under trees with green foliage.
Vineyard rows with green grapevines on stakes, surrounded by trees and hills in the background.
A woman with sunglasses sitting on a stone wall outdoors in front of towering mountain peaks with some clouds and a partly cloudy sky.
Sky filled with scattered clouds above a dark silhouette of a mountain.

Bike Touring New Zealand

2.5 months, South and North Island, winter of 2023-2024. The most beautiful, challenging and rewarding part of the world I have yet explored. 1600+ miles?

Bikepacking Australia

The Otway Rip, a route you can find on bikepacking.com. Would totally recommend this to anyone in Australia with a good bike and no fear of wildlife.

Bikepacking the C&O Canal & GAP Trail

I have ridden the C&O Canal more times than I can count, and the GAP Trail in full only once. If you’ve ever wanted to stay in a historic lockhouse along the C&O Canal, trust me, it’s worth it.

Biking Across the United States

Baltimore, MD (June 2023) -> San Francisco, CA (August 2023)

On this 2.5 month group bike tour, we all raised $5k+ each for the Ulman Foundation, a Baltimore non-profit which helps young adults fight cancer. This was my first ever group bike tour- we alternated van days (amounted to about one day of driving per week) and thus carried nothing on our bikes directly. 4000 miles.

A woman riding a loaded bicycle on a rural road with autumn trees in the background.
Smiling cyclist in blue jacket and black helmet pointing at a brown sign that says 'Scotland welcomes you' near a rural road surrounded by green foliage.
A narrow alleyway with colorful residential buildings on the left and a tall green hedge on the right. The buildings are decorated with plants and flowers, some with pink shutters and climbing greenery. The sky is clear and blue.

Biking Across Western Europe

4.5 months of solo bicycle touring across England, Wales, Scotland, Netherlands, Germany, France, Italy, Switzerland, Monaco, Spain, Portugal in the fall/winter of 2021-2022. This was my first solo international trip ever. I graduated college in spring of 2021 and decided to push off getting a job for as long as I could. 4000+ miles.

Biking Along the East U.S. Coast

Atlanta, GA to Baltimore, MD June 2021 -> August 2021. My first ever bike tour. A solo trip with minimal experience, but plenty of readiness and eagerness for everything that laid ahead. Basically, I biked home from college graduation. 1200+ miles.

A mountain bike with a water bottle, dry bag, and saddlebag parked on a dirt road surrounded by green trees under a partly cloudy sky.
